Damn it, now I'm the one that likes my job. I really wish I didn't like it so much. The people here are just the nicest, friendliest people I've ever worked with and my boss is so awesome. She's funny and understanding and tries to be your friend. I know she thinks very highly of me and would like for me to stay. She has offered me a chance to get into a much better paying position here if I'm interested. She keeps asking about our move and if we've decided or not. I never know what to say to her.
If only this job could be relocated to Seattle. I just know I'm going to miss the people here and her job offer makes it even harder to make myself move. I know we have to, but I just wish I didn't have this heartache and I just wish we could have moved earlier this past summer, when we were initially thinking about moving.
We moved to Seattle in February 2008 and shared blog posts and photos during our first few years in Seattle.

I'm not sure if you guys are still active on this blog but it's worth a shot. How did you go about letting your boss know that you were looking to move and essentially quit?
Good question, I talk about this a little bit in my book, Move to the Place of Your Dreams: A Relocation Handbook. Lesley's boss knew that she would be leaving ahead of time. In my case, I kept it quiet until we knew when we were moving. At that time, I let my boss know that my wife had found a job but that I would be interested in working remotely on a transitional basis. My boss was flexible and that situation was a win-win as it allowed him time to find a replacement and me time to find a new job in Seattle.
