There are a lot of little differences between here and in Texas. One of the things I've noticed is that they don't use twist ties here for bread in the store, they use little clips like the one pictured below. I think I like twist ties more because they seem easier to remove, but it doesn't really matter, I'm just curious why they don't use twist ties here.
We moved to Seattle in February 2008 and shared blog posts and photos during our first few years in Seattle.

Yeah, but twist ties are more common, or at least available. I don't think I've seen any twist ties here.
they use those in Japan exclusively, it seems.
and I also prefer twist ties, because you can reuse them for other things more easily. I use them to tie trash bags that don't have drawstrings, for example.
Yes, twist ties are useful, at least more so than the clips.
