I didn't used to like wine at all, but after trying several different kinds the last two years, I've grown to like it more. I used to only try white wines, but recently Troy wanted to get a red wine, so we got one and it was alright. I don't really have any idea what labels are best or what's a good wine for the price or anything.
I'd like to learn more about wine and so we recently bought a book from Half Price Books all about wine. It talks about the grapes used for different kinds, how to taste it and drink it, where wine is made and how, and what wines go best with certain foods.
Going to some wineries in Washington would be fun sometime. I'd also love to go to Napa Valley someday.
We moved to Seattle in February 2008 and shared blog posts and photos during our first few years in Seattle.

I have a hard time drinking wine, but I'd also like to know more about it and how to appreciate it.
Eric and I will go to Trader Joes or somewhere like that and buy a bunch of 4-6 dollar wines, and try them. If we don't like it we are only out a couple bucks. I would suggest going to Chelan and checking out all their winerys. They give you a little taste of everything they have though, if you decide to buy a bottle you're out 25 bucks... but Chelan is absolutley beautiful!
Just a thought :)
I like drinking and exploring different wines just like I like drinking and exploring different teas.
I love wine! My parents really like wine too so I think that's where I get it from. I know both of them know a lot about wine but I guess that when they try to talk to me about it, I was too young to care so I didn't pay attention. I would like to learn more too!
