I'd really like to go to the Oregon coast sometime. I've heard that it's really scenic and peaceful and a great place to go and relax. It's over 4 hours away, so we'd probably want to stay at least one night there. It'll probably have to wait until next year though since we already have so many trips planned for the rest of the year.
We moved to Seattle in February 2008 and shared blog posts and photos during our first few years in Seattle.

Hey it's Megan. I recommend Bandon, OR. We used to vacation there when I was a kid b/c my grandma had a house overlooking the ocean. There's lot of cozy hotels on the beach and it's a small, laid-back town. I think they have only like 3 stop lights too. In the movie The Goonies, at the end that scene is filmed in Astoria, OR which is on the north coast. Bandon looks like that but is on the south coast. Population is around 7,000 or so. Email me and I can give you some recommendations and maybe even some pics. :)
I've heard it also looks like the NorCal coast, which is also beautiful. the movie "Same Time Next Year" with Alan Alda was filmed along the NorCal coast and is also a good movie.
