The weather was pretty nice last weekend so we took advantage of it by going for a hike at Lime Kiln Trail at Robe Canyon Historic Park. The trail we went to wasn't very busy. It followed the path of where a railway line used to be and followed along the Stillaguamish River. After about an hour we reached a bunch of old artifacts where people used to live. Then, we found the lime kiln. We walked a little further and went down to the river where we sat on a rock and had a snack. We also used the cold river water to cool off our drinks. On the way back, I walked past a snake before Lesley noticed it, but it didn't seem to care about us. The trail was pretty flat and covered with a lot of big leaves. It was a really good hike.
We moved to Seattle in February 2008 and shared blog posts and photos during our first few years in Seattle.
